Our line dance weekend at Lytham St Annes was wonderful. We could not have asked for nicer weather, it was absolutely beautiful.
Friday afternoon all the line dancers arrived at the hotel and checked in, once checked in we all sat outside basking in the sun drinking cocktails and listening to a very good musician playing some classic and iconic songs – it was wonderful, for one moment I thought we were in sunny Spain lol.
We kicked the weekend off on Friday evening with a line dance disco followed by the very talented Derek Darby from Magill who had everyone up dancing away till midnight, he did an awesome job.
Saturday and Sunday we had workshops with Daniel Whittaker who taught a range of dances for all levels.
Line Dances Taught
Bottom of the bottle by Gary O’reilly
Make it by Rob Fowler
We’re Good to Go by Rob Fowler
Through your Eyes by Maggie Gallagher
Every dance above went down very well, as there was something for all levels of dancer. All the new dances were played enough times over the weekend so by Saturday night everyone was an expert (big smile).
Saturday night we had a line dance disco followed by Nigel Slater, he is such a fabulous line dance and country artist, he kept the floor full all night with new and old classics.
We have been using Inn on the Prom for many years they have always been a very accommodating hotel and have always helped us run a successful dance weekend. The breakfast and evening meals were very nice and hot, the drinks were not overpriced in comparison to other hotels so I was impressed over all, if you would like to come on a fabulous dance weekend then don’t delay visit our Dance Holiday page for further details
